the Word of Promise next generation NEW TESTAMENT 3 MP3 CD Set

Thanks to A FRUGAL FRIEND I was introduced to a way Thomas Nelson. I now am lucky enough to get free books, cds etc. to review for them. For my first review I picked this exciting 3 cd New Testament. I was happy to get it in the mail and thought it would be great to listen to in the car on my 2 hour commute to and from work. I also thought my teenie boppers (okay not so teenie) may actually listen to this. The New Testament is read by such stars like Corbin Bleu, Jordan Sparks , Max Lucado along with over 100 Actors!! The set contains 3 MP3 CDs-OVER 23 hrs of listening time. There is also a 75 minute dvd so the kids can see there favorite stars "Behind the Scenes. The cover as you can see above is catchy and colorful for teens. When the chapters were introduced it was really interesting and upbeat, however some of the child stars soon began to sound whiney (Matthew) and there voices did not show much expression. Not all the readers were bad however and some would indeed draw in kids and adults alike. The reader of Corinthians kept my interest much easier.
In this wired and busy age, overall I think this product is worth having. Especially for parents and/or pastors of preteens and teens.
